Getting Started

How do I open an account?
To sign up for groketeer simply click on "Sign Up Free".
You will be asked to fill in a simple form and create your password. After you sign up you will be sent an activation email in order to finalize your registration. The details you will provide will be totally confidential. We will never give them away to 3rd parties for commercial reasons without your prior consent.

Which data sources can I upload?
groketeer beta can load SPSS™ files (.sav) and data exported from SurveyMonkey™. Our team is working hard to support additional sources of data (such as Excel™ and more) in the near future.

Is there a limit to the amount of data I can upload?
Basic plan users are able to upload up to 30 questions and 200 responses per survey, While Premium plan users can upload up to 500 questions and 1500 responses per survey. Engage Analytics™ enterprise plan has no limits on the amount of data you can upload.

Can I load data in any language?
Yes. All languages scripts are supported.

Why can't I upload my data?
Check that you are loading one of the supported data formats and make sure that you follow the instructions on how to export data correctly from the survey platform you are using. If you are still having trouble importing the data, please contact us. We are working constantly to improve the product and make sure our users are happy with it!
The Dashboard

Which question types are supported?
We support several types that range from close ended questions to open ended questions inc.:
- Single choice
- Multiple Choice
- Scale
- Ranking
- Grids
- Numeric
- Open Ends

What types of display manipulations can I perform?
In the 'Display' panel located at the top right corner of every question display pane, you can:
- Customize chart type: Bar, Column, Pie, Line or table
- For Open Ends you can chose to display the responses as: a List, a Keyword cloud (to be released soon), or a chart
- Select answers sorting: by questionnaire, by value, by rating or by response time (for open ends)
- Select to show grouping of Top and Bottom boxes (for scale)
groketeer remembers your display settings and will display your data exactly as you chose to every time you open the dashboard.

Which statistical values are calculated (e.g. Mean, Median etc.)?
Basic and Premium plans calculates Mean, Median, Standard Deviation and Standard Error for all applicable question types (Scale, Ranking, Grids & Numeric). Engage Analytics™ enterprise plan support also Statistical Significance testing.
For example: all statistical values type will be calculated for numeric and scale question types and their filters, while none will be calculated for Multiple Choice.
You can choose to show or hide statistical values from the 'Statistics Settings' window. To do so open the 'Display' panel and click the “Statistics Settings", choose the values you want to show / hide and click OK.

What types of statistical significance tests are supported?
A result is called statistically significant if it is unlikely to have occurred by chance. "A statistically significant difference" simply means there is statistical evidence that there is a difference.
groketeer runs a variety of statistics tests and choose the appropriate test type depending on the nature of the data displayed.
To activate sig. testing go to the statistics settings in the Display panel or in the Cross Tabs exports window.

What are filters? How can I slice my data and compare slices?
A filter represents a sub-group of respondents based on a specific criteria or conditional relations between different criterions.
Using the filtering capabilities, you can analyze how a specific segment of your respondents has answered a question and compare it to other segments or to the entire sample. For example, you can compare how women answered compared to men, adults compared to young people, clients from various industries compared, etc.
To do so simply open the Filter panel which is located at the top right corner of every question display pane and add filters to the chart or table you are viewing.

How can I create filters using multiple variables?
Advanced filters and advanced segments represent a sub-group of respondents that is defined based on conditional relations between different criteria.
- To create an Advanced Filter, open the Filter panel, and select 'my Filters'.
- Then select 'Create Advanced Filter' from the drop down list.
- Name your condition (e.g. men under 40), and start creating the condition by dragging values, operators, and parenthesis to the expression editor box.
- When you drop a Value in the editor, a pop up to define the value is opened.
- Here you can select a question from all close ended questions of your project.
- You may want to validate the expression you just created by clicking the “validate”.
- Click OK to save the condition.
The condition will be added to your Advanced Filters list.
You can add it to a chart like any other filter or use it as banner in the Cross Tabs report.

How can I edit questions labels?
groketeer allows you to update questions and answer choices texts using a simple interface.
- Click on 'Questionnaire' at the menu bar.
- To edit a question, simply click on a cell and enter the new text (modified questions will be marked in bold).
- To update answer choices texts select the question you wish to edit and click on the 'Edit' button. A popup window shows you all question's related data inc. Question text, Title, Type, Category and Answer Choices text. You can edit any of these fields.
- Click OK to apply changes.
The change will take effect immediately and your updates will be displayed in all shared dashboards and in all the reports created from that point on.

What is the Cross Tabs report? Can I export the data is Excel format?
The Cross Tabs report contains all your processed data in a single Excel file in a tabulated form. All closed ended questions are tabulated along with banners created from the set of Segments you have defined.
- Clicking Save Cross Tabs on the main menu bar opens a pop up window to configure your report.
- Banner data as well as the order of banners in the report can be configured upon saving the report. You can select either to save the report using all of the project's segments or select a sub-set of the banners for the report.
- To select your own sub-set of banners, simply turn this option on and drag groups of segments to include in the report from the list one the left to the list on the right.
- You can also control the order of banners in the report by dragging and dropping groups in the required position.
- Individual segments you un-check will not be included in the report.
- Configure the 'statistics settings' if you want to calculate statistics or even run 'Statistical Significance ' tests on the tabulated data.
- Click 'Done' to save the report.

Can I download the raw data?
The Raw Data files include all project data in industry standard formats ready to be loaded into external Data Processing systems.
To save Raw Data click on 'Export Data' and choose where to save the file.
The Raw data ZIP file contains all data formatted in a set of tabular and free-text files as well as general instructions on how to use the files.
Tabular files are dictionaries containing all of the relevant layout and question information required to read the data files.
Data files contain all responses, where each row represents a single respondent input.
Mapping each column to the data it represents is done using the dictionary file.

Can I save my charts into PowerPoint™? What is a Key Findings report?
The Key Findings report is your personal collection of charted data saved as a PowerPoint presentation.
You can drag any question that you are reviewing and drop it in to the Key Findings panel. Simply drag the question from the blue bar (caption of the question display pane) at the top and drop it in to the panel on the right in the appropriate position.
The charted question will retain all your preferences such as the selected display type, the filters you have added, and any other display modifications you have made.
You can store almost multiple slides in your Key Findings and include commentary as you add them.
Click 'Save' to save the resulting Power Point™ presentation to your desktop.

Share with others

Who can I share the dashboard with?
You have the ability to invite others view the dashboard. People you invite will need to have their own groketeer account in order to see the dashboard.
We do not limit the number of people you can share the dashboard with. Multiple people can work on the dashboard at the same time without affecting each other's work.
All invitees will have access only to the specific project / dashboard you have shared with them.

How do I share the dashboard?
- Click on Share Results in the main menu.
- Simply type or paste in the text box a list of your invitees email addresses.
- You can also write a short message before sending the invitation.
- To control your invitees' permissions and access rights, select the appropriate role using the drop down list. Notice that roles and permissions description is displayed when selecting a role.
- Click 'Send'.
Invitees will receive an email containing a link to sign in or to create new account.

What can my invitees do?
It depends on the role you chose for them when you shared the Dashboard – Editor or Viewer.
A viewer has full access to all analytics capabilities which are available under your plan. An editor can also create segments and edit questionnaires that affect all your invitees for that Dashboard.

How can I un-share the dashboard?
If you wish to un-share the dashboard, please contact us at www.groketeer.com/contact-us and we will assist you. Please attach the list of emails you want to un-shared the dashboard with. In the future, this will be available as a feature you can directly use through the UI.

Someone shared a dashboard with me, where / how can I see it?
In order to see projects that were shared with you; you will need to open a groketeer account if you do not already have one.
Opening a new account is simple and free. After a short registration process you will be able to sign in. Please use for the account the same email address the invitation was sent to.
After you login you will see in the list all the projects that were shared with you and you will be able to create new projects.
Notice that owner name label is displayed next to each project.
Simply click on the project name to open its dashboard.
My Account

How do you keep my data secured? Where do you store my data?
The data you load is kept private and confidential.
We store your data in a secure and partitioned environment.
You can control who other than you will have access to the data by using the "share results".
You are the owner of the data. Read more in our Privacy Policy.

For how long do you store my data?
Data is stored for as long as determined in your groketeer plan.
During the beta we will not set a time limit for any data loaded, but we may change our policy in the future once we launch the full product.

How can I change my password?
Go to your account settings by clicking on the 'Settings' link on the top right corner.
You will be asked to enter a new password and confirm it.

How can I cancel my account?
We are sorry to see you go. If you want to cancel your account, go to www.groketeer.com/contact-us select "remove my account" for topic and fill in the request.
Note that we must validate your email before completing the request.
